Klein® woodworking router bits: characteristics
Our industrial router bits made with the best tungsten carbide tips guarantee a better cut and longer tool life compared to our competitors. All our router bits undergo a burnishing treatment on the whole body to give the products protective effect against oxidation and better chip flow.
Klein® woodworking router bits are equipped with the 'Anti-Kickback' chip limiter which, in large diameter cutters, effectively reduces the problem of initial kickback of the workpiece, providing maximum safety for the operators, minimising risk of injury. The special rake angle - specifically designed for applications on wood and wood derivatives - ensures a less aggressive cut and a smoother and more fluid feed. To guarantee the operator a series of specifications are marked on the cutter shank: the dimensional characteristics, the maximum number of revolutions (RPM) and the correct clamping length of the tool in the collet (marked with the "K" symbol) to guarantee greater rigidity and less risk of breakage during machining.

Router bits for plunge routers and router tables
Industrial router bits with HW/TCT tips and with interchangeable knives fall into this category. Available with 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm and 12 mm shank, to be used with power electric routers and router tables but also on CNC router machines thanks to the high quality level.

Straight and trimming router bits
Straight router bits allow different diameters to be performed at different cutting heights in wood and other materials (laminates, plywood, …). They are available both in solid carbide but also with brazed carbide tipped in a wide range of sizes for every woodworking needs. They are designed for longer tool life and optimum finish due to superior quality cutting edges and a special axial finish. In many cases, together with the two lateral cutting edges (flutes), there is a third cutting edge at the top of the bit in order to perform drilling and milling operations with the same cutter (Z=2+1).
These include: flush trim router bits, which have a ball bearing guide, router bits for grooving wood and milling cutters.

Radius and profile router bits
Radius and profile router bits, include all the router bits which have a profile or pattern on the cutting edge, allowing for more decorative techniques on wood. There are several types of profile bits: to perform chamfers, convex and concave radius, round nose, bull nose, t-slot, jointing cutters, handrail router bits, panel raising router bits.

V-grooving, Signmaking and Lettering router bits
Engraving router bits are useful if you want to make lettering, incisions, signmaking or special decorations on wood, but above all, thanks to a special 'V' - or in some cases 'U' - head profile, they allow you to carve wood easily with maximum precision and long-lasting performance thanks to the highest quality of carbide cutting edges.

Slot cutter router bits
Slot cutter router bits is always very important to rely on modular and easy-to-use router bits which can perform different purposes. These are router bits for wood joints - particularly used to make joints in drawers or other types of wooden furniture, but also to obtain grooves - which are distinguished by their modularity and ease of machining. Tongue and groove for making drawers or furniture will be easy to make. You can mix and match spacers and cutter sin order to obtain different solutions and make both the groove and the tongue by simply changing the position of cutters and spacers. A ball bearing can be used to adjust the depth of cut when you need to use the edge of the wood to guide the tool. Also suitable for making long tenon of your doors.

Spiral router bits
Compared to conventional router bits with straight flutes the solid carbide spiral cutters perform the same activity but they ensure a higher precision and a cleaner cut. This is due to the spiral cutting edges which allow a good chipping ejection performing softer and smoother cuts on wood, laminates, plastic and aluminium. Vibrations are considerably reduced so that the cutter will be able to last longer.
There is a further subdivision among them which depends on the direction of the flute’s geometry: upcut spirals (or positive up shear) which push chips upward for best finishing on bottom side of the panel; downcut spirals (or negative down shear) which push chips downward for best finishing on top side of the panel, and compression spirals which are the combination of both upcut and downcut spirals (recommended when processing double laminate materials) for good finishing on both side of the panel. They can be mounted on both CNC machining centres and routers.

Router bits with interchangeable knives
Router bits with interchangeable knives are very convenient because they are long lasting and with excellent price/quality ratio. They allow you to use a single router bit by changing only the knives when needed, without having to worry about sharpening them. This enables a long-lasting usage, a high-quality finishing, even on abrasive materials, and higher precision cuts due to the geometries which remain the same over time.

Horizontal and jointing machines
Sistemi Klein also offers diamond PCD cutters, carbide router bits and other types cutters and blades for horizontal milling machines or jointing machines, such as those designed for portable electric machines known by the name of the dowel manufacturer - including Festool (Domino), Mafell, Lamello.
